Betty's Restaurant is a good, different, and it feels like an authentically British restaurant from the interior decorations down to the food itself. Last weekend, I went to Betty's restaurant with my son. The Betty's restaurant is located in Niagara Falls close to tourist attractions, and it is easy to find because it's not very far from Niagara Falls. we visited here at night for dinner because my Canadian friend told me the restaurant has phenomenal atmosphere and their food is really nice home cooked meals. This restaurant is famous for fish and chips, and is usually filled with many families and calm music. The atmosphere here was really nice, too. The beautiful wallpaper and menu boards make me feel really calm because their design and colour was very luxurious. For $30, we ordered steak dinner and fish and chips. While we were waiting for the main dishes, a waitress brought warm bread, soup, and vegetables. It tasted good, especially the bread, because it was freshly baked bread. After few minutes, my son got his fish and chips, and it looked so delicious! He also liked his dish, and he said he recognized why this restaurant is famous for fish and chips. He said they use fresh ingredients, and he can feel that by eating the food. Right after he got his dish, the steak I ordered came out. 

The steak looked really good, so I took a picture of it. What I really liked was that the food came in large portions, and interestingly, it tasted better than fish and chips. The steak was really tender and juicy. Moreover, it was served with roasted mushrooms, and fresh garden vegetables, so their gravy tasted really good with the steak. My son said his fish and chips was really awesome because he could taste the rich flavour when he had a bite. He also said it is not super oily and it has perfect amount of crunch. I also really liked the service I got from the employees. Whenever they brought the food out they were always smiling and making jokes. They take care of every detail to make our dinner wonderful. After we finished our dinner, we picked some candies they gave as we left the restaurant. We were satisfied with their services and the delicious food.

     Betty’s Restaurant was founded in 1967 by Trudy and Joe Miszk. Since it’s opening in 1967, the restaurant has become very popular among the citizens in Niagara region and beyond. Even through all the changes, Betty’s Restaurant has grown tremendously throughout the years and it still strives to achieve the same home cooking and family atmosphere.

The restaurant reflects the local culture because the people in the restaurant are really welcoming just like the rest of the people that live in the Niagara Falls area. Dining at Betty’s Restaurant was a wonderful experience and I would love to go back again soon. There are a lot of tourists that comes to Niagara Falls to see the falls, and I would definitely recommend for them to get food from Betty’s restaurant. This would be one of my favorite local restaurants that I go to. The service is amazing and at the same time so are the food.
